Found a twin in Holland!
I spent a week taking in the sights in the Neatherands, where every taxi seems to be a W212. There were very few 213s to be seen. The very first one I did see was while strolling through downtown Hoorn. An E300 with the same matte paint, panorama roof and AMG 20 rims as my 43! The guy has stoped at a bakery so I thanked him for bringing my car all the way from the US, we had a good laugh. Holland has changed a lot in 30 years, mostly for the better, wonderful trip. However, one thing to watch for, some of the nicest people in the world become some of the biggest a-holes when riding a bicycle, particularly in Amsterdam, watch your step!

I was just in the UK last week and was shocked at how many W212 and W213s were around. Many W212s and quite a few W213s.
What I didn't see was a single "Luxury" as we call it in the US, or "Exclusive" trim as I believe it's called in the UK. I also don't recall seeing any W212/W213 with Distronic over there either. Not even one in central London, which surprised me -- I'd want Distronic if I was stuck driving in London traffic myself.
I also laughed when I read your comment on the cyclists -- it seems they're no different in the US than over there.

Some think that the rules of common sense don't apply to them and that its cars and pedestrians that have to watch out for them! They forget that their rights end right under the wheels of a semi.
