DriveAssist screen yellow right lane

When Drive pilot is on, on the driveassist screen, is everyone else's right lane yellow? Or is it green? See below picture. The Mbrace people said this should mean I have a radar problem, but my dealer says this is how it is supposed to be.

any chance you would be willing to take a picture and add it on here of yours with the drive pilot cruise on and showing both green lanes? That would be a big help since I cannot prove to the service advisor that anything is wrong without anything to compare to

To me it looks like both your lanes are green and the yellow part is just the keep out zone. If you rotate the cruise control stalk to set a different minimum follow distance does the yellow portion change? It should do.

Saying that, from memory I thought mine was white when there isn't a vehicle in front and is only yellow when I'm close to traffic. So maybe there is a problem.

DriveAssist screen

I have the P3 package but have never seen the screen you're showing. Still learning. Can you tell me how to bring that screen up--what sequence of menu selections? Thanks.

Mine is green when the adjacent traffic lane is clear, yellow when there is traffic ahead on the right/left within the distance range. Sounds like you might have a calibration issue.

Thanks. Any pictures with the drive pilot cruise on and functioning with two green lanes and no yellow other than the horizontal one would be greatly appreciated. I just don't know how to convince my dealer that there is an issue since the cars are new and they probably haven't dealt with this much.

Does the drive pilot not work for you because of this? Do you veer into the right lane?

drive pilot seems to be working fairly well, but there is the thought in my head that maybe it could work better. Overall, the car is performing well and I love it, though what made me think there was a problem was that when doing automatic lane changes, my car seemed to hate going left land to right lane. It seems to enthusiastically jump right to left lane though. However, after a software update today at the dealer, it seems to be going left to right a little better.

Here is my dash. Stays yellow on the right in all three lanes of a divided highway. No idea why.

I believe it signifies your "setting" for distance

It's like I've already said, it's normal for the keep out zone/follow distance. Change the distance and it will move. In fact it moves depending on a number of things like if the traffic ahead is speeding up or slowing down.

The fact it's yellow down left side is just a visual aid as the thin yellow line isn't that clear.

Also, the little green wavy lines right next to the bonnet/hood signifies blind spot assist is switched on. Lot of useful info on that display.

Looked at mine again today. The screen looks like yours when the Drive Pilot is engaged. The yellow line varies in length depending on how far the distance sensitivity has been set. The yellow line disappears when the system is disengaged.

Thank you to everyone who responded. Yellow sure seems like a poor choice of color for that screen when they could've just used the horizontal line only to accomplish the same distance measurement. Glad it is working properly though.

Has anyone had a radar malfunction? I wonder what it actually would show in that instance.

My radar sensors have thrown an error when dirty, comes up with message in yellow text saying drive pilot not available. Then you can't select the system till it clears itself (never had to actually clean the sensors, they throw their toys out the pram in rain/road spray then the error clears itself later on).

I wish MB had some videos detailing the new drive screens, the videos available concern the old systems.

If they did have the manuals, none of us read them.
