E Class Coupe Delivered Today

I took delivery of my new E Coupe today.

It's an AMG Line 220d on 20" alloys with adaptive suspension.

I had a test drive on a car with the same suspension but only 19" alloys, so it was a bit of a relief to find that with 20" wheels it isn't a boneshaker! In fact it's surprisingly comfortable.
I had a W213 220d SE with 18" alloys and air suspension before, which was great but the Coupe seems to have more of an "on rails" feeling when you pull it round a bend - presumably because of the bigger wheels and wider track.
I'm saying all this to reassure anyone who is thinking about going for the big wheel\ adaptive suspension combination. BTW, the tyres extend out beyond the alloy wheels, greatly reducing the potential for scrapes on the metal.

I opened all the windows and the sunroof today for the last part of the drive through town on the way home - the feeling of being in an open space was fantastic. Also, the car looks pretty neat with the windows down and no B pillar.

Finally, does anyone know if there will be a separate forum for the C238 Coupe?

Congrats on this one, hope you have no problems like the old. I've still to see a new E coupé in the metal, not a fan of the c but reckon the bigger size will carry off design language really well as i quite like the s based coupé.

I leased it directly from Mercedes this time, so quick delivery from stock. I had to compromise a little on specification to get the white premium plus I wanted, which is why I ended up with drug dealer wheels and tinted windows!
I had all available remote services activated on line within a couple of hours.

My company is evaluating alternatives to the lease company that wouldn't allow activation of remote services, but I didn't want to wait for that to play out.
Sending back the saloon to the lease company gave me an opportunity to really think about what I wanted having had the benefit of a couple of months with it. The fact that the turbocharger failed left me not as in love with the car as I might have been...

Congratulations! When you get a chance, post some pictures. No new coupes yet on this side of the pond.
