INFO: I'M IN FRANCE.

- I'm only getting my car on the 25th of july, but they already added it to my "mercedes
me" account.

It was my understanding that the car can only connect to this network if you
have opted for an integrated sim car?

I don't have this option, but according to my "me" account i can check the car's status,
change setting, open/lock doors , run diagnostics, update software etc...
(it says these functions will be activated once i get the car)

So does this mean that the car is indeed connected on its own?

cos all of the above functions would be pretty useless if the connection would go via my
mobile phone (IE I would have to be IN the car for it to work...)


- I also like to know how the alarm works when triggered: will I be alerted via the app?
or would i need to get the "localise car" service for that to work?

A French car must have the HERMES module, either option 360 (3G) or 362 (4G).

Ok, i found this HERMES in the full derscription of my configuration
under "telematique". (Nothing about 3g or 4g though).

So this means the car is indeed connected right?

In this case what happens when the alarm is triggered?
