The fix for chattering wipers!
Summer fit MB wiper fluid! It certainly seems that the wipers are allergic to any hydrophobic substance on the windshield be it wax from the carwash or rain X wiper fluid. I finally found MB fluid on amazon which immediately solved the issue. Though sudsy summer wiper fluid is readily available in europe it is basicly impossible to find in the US. Furthermore, its much more effective on bug grime than the crap they sell here. While on a trip in France I had the chance to use some pink fluid sold in bags by shell or mobil stations, cant remember which. It was almost like highly diluted dish washing detergent and cleaned bugs like something fierce!

Just look for summer fit wiper fluid on amazon. Its not always available so the sellers sell it close to dealer price.
BTW I do use aquapel on all the other glass surfaces its amazing stuff.

You may be able to obtain it from your dealer (it may have to be a case though - they have to special order it as most no longer stock it). That's what i do. I add 1 bottle (they're small an once or 2) to a gallon of the blue stuff - works great

I have not added anything to my wiper fluid tank and don't know what was in there when I bought the car. But I have zero chattering and my wipers have gotten a lot of use lately.

As long as you don't get any type of wax on the windshield you should be fine. Avoid rainx wiper fluid since it contains rainx. That's when my issue started, not too bad still annoying.
