Not just the shift stalk. The turn signal, steering wheel adjustment, window switches, mirror adjustments are all Mercedes. In fact, Tesla switches changed from 2013 to 2016 as Mercedes changed theirs. My Mercedes and Tesla salesmen both said that there is a sharing agreement. Tesla gets standard parts and supplies battery and motor technology to Mercedes. The B-class electric's batteries and motor are Tesla designed.

Right, at one time Daimler had a stake in Tesla. As I understand it they have since divested themselves of it. I am unfamiliar with any ongoing sharing agreements.

Turn signal, speed limiter and steering wheel adjuster wasnt exactly the same, but similar.
The shift stalk on the other hand was dead on, thats why I reacted, hadnt heard anything about a collaboration.

When I test drove one a year ago, the salesguy said I would find the cabin very familiar coming from MB. Too bad they didn't take the extra power points and cupholders for the rear. Great cars though. A blast to drive.

This has been this way since the Model S came out. It was a good thing that with the launch of the S class, MB switched to the new style of window switches because they used to be identical. Now, seems like the only thing shared is the CC stalk and the shifter, though obviously on the new S, the CC has been moved to the steering wheel
