2017 E300 Prepaid Maintenance, Intire Road Hazard
Hello all, first post so please be gentle.
I am picking up my new 2017 E300 next week and am interested in your thoughts on prepaid maintenance and intire Road Hazard programs. I am already purchasing a 3yr/75K ELW for $1900
I usually keep my car for over 7 years.
What are your thoughts on prepaid maintenance and intire road hazard. What specific time packages would you suggest on each? Finally which dealers/contacts seem to have the best prices?

I would wait on PPM until the more expensive services come up. The first are A/B/A and will probably be cheaper to pay a la carte or with service promos. Wait for when ATF or plugs are due if you're keeping the car longer.
Not a fan of RH on new cars unless you have had pothole problems in the past in your area.

I bought the three year warranty extension and the prepaid maintenance. I asked the dealer to provide a list of the a la carte maintenance cost and buying the prepaid maintenance came out to significantly less. Of course, you don't have to get the scheduled maintenance at a dealer and probably can save money at an independent shop.
The extended warranty isn't cheap but you can get the cost refunded during the first four years of ownership or get a pro rated refund for the three years after that--providing you haven't made any claims under the extended warranty. I usually buy the extended warranty figuring that if my car is fairly trouble free, I can ask for a refund but if it is trouble prone, the warranty is worth having. I must admit, however, that I haven't always canceled the warranty even on trouble free cars (which--fortunately-- most of my Mercedes cars have been).
