Import routes in COMAND

Import routes in COMAND
So, I just got my new E class for a couple of days (coming from a BMW).
I'm still struggling with the infotainment system though.
Annoyance of the day: Routes
In my BMW I could go on a website, create a route by putting some markers on a map and send it to my car from that website.
It seems mercedes has a similar offering in their 'me' website. But you are supposed to download a gpx file, put it in a 'Routes' folder on an SD card and import it like that.
However, their manual for importing it says it's compatible with NTG5.0 and I believe I have 5.5.
Anyway, I don't get it to work. I don't even see the option to import it .
Did anyone have some more success?

Have you tried it using the Mercedes me APP? Within this there is the option (Send2Benz) to look up an address, poi etc and then send it to your head unit. If you then start the car, it will ask if you want to follow this direction or save it. IMO, this is the easiest way to enter a destination.
Good luck!!

There's a Send to Car feature on Google Maps. I used it a few times to send destinations (not routes) to my 2015 C300. I had to log in first and register my car. Then it stopped working. I recently went into Send to Car again and found that my previous registered car was gone. I selected Add New Car and found that Mercedes is not one of the manufactures supported. The Google feature must have been replaced by the Mercedes Me app. I don't have a smart phone or any other need for one, so that route is closed.

Thank you for your suggestions, but these all seem to focus on sending one address to the nav system. That's working.
I'm talking about (touristic) routes that you can download from mercedes.me . It is basically a .gpx file that the nav system should import and send you to the waypoints. That's what I can't seem to do. :-)

MBWorld Fanatic!
The response I received:
Mercedes-Benz
You can upload the final destination through Send2Benz then add waypoints after you get in the car using the "waypoints and info" tab.
If you like Apple Carplay or Android Auto you can save routes with multiple waypoints in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze.
