E43 - Distronic Issues
Hello All
I have just purchased a new AMG E43 (in Australia) - after having endless issues with the grill mounted radar (100+ events logged of "Radar Sensor Dirty") the service department replaced the bracket that the radar unit is mounted with. The error has now cleared and has not come back.
I am now having issues with the Cruise Control / Distronic system not holding the speed correctly, (video attached) example, I have commanded 115km/h on a flat, zero gradient piece of the freeway, and note the speed is initially at 113km/h SLOWLY working its way up to 115km/h but then it comes back to 113km/h and then back to 115km/h - it seems to be in a cyclic pattern over about 90 seconds.
I have driven a 2017 C250 and a 2016 E200 and both systems maintained the commanded speed perfectly, which is why I'm questioning this...(my system has not functioned "perfectly" as per these models ever)
Has anyone else experienced this issue or is it normal ?

I put mine on today on flat country road to check. Mine holds speed in mph and it was steady at 60. I noticed the kph flip between 96/97 quite regularly. Would assume though if you command in kph it holds kph steady as well. It's not stable holding mph if there is a gradient, tends to lose a bit of speed or hunt around going uphill and it uses a lot of brakes going downhill to not let car exceed set speed but on the flat, it's usually solid as per your other experiences.
Does sound like dealer needs to see it is it's bothering you.
