Winter Pirelli Sottozero impressions
We had 2 inches of wet snow last night so I finally had a chance to get a taste with my E43 pirellis. In summary WOW! The Sottozeros 3 do have excellent sporty characteristics in cold, dry and wet conditions. Not much of a downgrade from the Pzeros in normal or spirited driving, the big surprise is their snow performance, they really deliver! They are just as adept as non-sport rated Blizzaks and Michelin Xi3's! Slush, Ice, snow doesn't matter, they are just grip and more grip. I expected them to give up a little winter performance for their good dry condition manners, I'm glad I was wrong. Strongly recommended. 4 thumbs up, I include the 2 big toes since just the thumbs would not be enough.
