Anyone driving the 200d?
Hi.
I have ordered the E200d station wagon as a company car whitout any chance to testdrive so I wonder if there is anyone out there driving the 200d today who can tell if if the 200d model is to tired for the car or something I can live with?
Of course I would go for the E63S AMG if my companybudget would accept it.
I normaly drive in the cities and on the highways. The speed limit in Sweden is maximum 120km/h
Once or twice a year I drive from Sweden to Austria wich means German Autobahns whitout speed limits but, I can not buy a more expensive model just for those trips and I bet the 200d can manage 200km/h as well.

I think you should be able to find some test against Volvo v90 D3 in some Swedish automotive magazines. At least I think they compared those two. Not 100% sure...
I have the 220d T-model -18 and picked that engine instead of the 200d as company car. I had to pick less funny tech stuff...
Avantgarde
SE edition
Business Pack
Night Pack
Lane keeping assist pack (incl Dead angle assist)
Towbar pack
Had to wait 5 month for my car but I got MY18 with Audio 20 NTG 5.5 and some other new stuff... Delivered a week ago!

Your car sounds great, any picturers you can post?
I drive the XC60 today and as far as I can see the Mercedes 200d can keep up with the XC60

E 300 AMG-Line diesel-Hybrid - 2021
i drive a 200D which has almost the same power as the 2014 220D which I had before.
sure it's not a monster, but it's still faster than a lot of other cars on the road.
I also chose the 200D due budget (4.000 eur less expensive than the 220!)

Just a thought but the 220 may cost 4K more to buy, but, it’ll probably be worth circa 2k more when you come to sell it...so 2k ish more in real terms...if kept for 3 years it’s not a that much more....i bet a 220 will be as economic as a thrashed 200.....I know there are other costs but after a bit of man maths I managed to justify an E43!!

I'm driving a E200D estate (or break or T-model)
What is absolutely amazing is the engine/transmission working together.
Certainly in accelerations up till 120 you have such a great orchestration that you never feel it's underpowered.
I'm coming from a C180d with 7Gtronic and that was a complete disaster
So, I'm very happy with the combination although sometimes I wished the extra 40nm more would have been great.
But it's a company car and spend the budget on 18" alloys (17 are sooo taxi).. and some nice interior finish
