New car - Coating ?

Finally had my rides delivered, and the detailer is coming tomorrow!

Coating has become a huge 'thing' in Norway the last couple of years. Glass/Ceramic etc.
Excited to see how it will be to keep clean during the winter.

The detailer will wash it thoroughly after he has removed all the transportation protection (Dealer delivered it to me like this (Y)). Then polish it with Master Final Polish (PolishAngel), before a round with Invincible Primer. (PolishAngel) Then two layers with "Cosmic" ceramic coating form PolishAngel, before a surface coating from Waxd.
Swisswax Autobahn on Rims.
Can't remember what he'll put on the windows including Pano-roof.
Full leather treatment inside.

Car has been Tectyl-treated before delivery, and has the "plate-option" underneath.

Same applies for the GLC.

What did you do to keep your 213 shiny?

I moved to the South of France..

seriously; no special treatment;
I just wash it regularly with high pressure and every now and then completely by hand

Can imagine that in Norway the above will not suffice during winter!

I meant "the above" as in what I do with my car will not suffice in Norway.

Mind me asking you after 1 year how did the ceramic coating work out for you on the estate? I’m considering getting it done.

Very happy with it! Wife touched the garage door and it was easy to polish down. Reapplied coating.

I ressurect my hydrophobia with a spray-wax once every 5-6 wash.

Will probably just polish and wax with Swisswax Shield next year 👌
