drivers door mirror
has anyone noticed that the drivers door mirror creates a much larger 'blind spot' when turning left, than the previous E class models ?

Yes. The mirror appears to be larger and higher than the W212. It makes turning left unto a street with a median difficult to judge where the median is.

Why are are view mirrors (on all cars) different in the US/CANADA compared to Europe?
IN the US they seem to give a much smaller view.
