I tried to get the parts department to order them, and get the dealer to fit them to my car, but they either have no idea or refused to. The official Mercedes body shops also refuse to do the job because it is considered a "modification" and they are not allowed to do because they are the official MB shop. Would like to get them in matte chrome.

AHHHH ok I see now. The car comes stock with the slats but you can add these over top of them. Got it.

If you order the actual MB parts - you have to remove the entire bumper and pop the clips and replace them that way, The other ones are held by the wonder of 3M tape - takes longer to clean the bits than to install new over top. Having said that, if they are made of plastic they will get beaten up but that too should be easy to remedy.
