"Nervous" windshield wipers

with the bad weather starting (yes we do get rain in the south of france) I've noticed
that the wipers wipe very often when only slight drizzle. (sensitivity set on 1)

is there a fix / reset I can do ?

Just how they are. If its too annoying just set them to off and single wipe using the button. If you just tap it will give you one swipe without spray.

that's a bit of a band aid..
I have situations where they only need to wipe every 15-20 seconds or so, but they wipe every 2...

Sometimes the sensors get dirty and aren't really cleaned with the wipes, try to spray and see if it returns to expected behavior

True. But I don't think it will never have a 20 sec interval.

center top of the windshield behind the rear-view mirror if you're siting in the car. The wipers do sweep the area but it's the tips of the blades so the pressure applied is less.

2018 E300 4Matic.
Mine are OK. I use either position 1 or 2, according to how frequently I want them to wipe. They will stop completely when rain ends and will restart automatically after a few days if it rains again.

I just remembered (getting old) I had same problem with my 1st MB (C-class) back in 2008 and the garage did a "reset. "
