So the 14 e350s can be found pretty cheap with around 50k on them. Wgat are some of the issues with the cars. Should I go for a 13 550 instead? Just looking for the most reliable , I'd like to keep it for years and I drive 40k a year. Of course I'd love a v8 but the newer body looks so much better . Thanks

In the 4 years years (and 23,000 miles) I owned it, this is what I experienced:
1. Tilt steering wheel function stopped working. Would only go in and out.
2. Engine clatter - tensioner replaced
3. Noise from right muffler - a metal piece inside the muffler broke off. Muffler replaced.
4. A wire that pulled back the right rear side of the convertible headliner broke. Replaced.
5. Split seam in front passenger seat bottom. Replaced.
All fixed under warranty.
My previous car was a 2006 Lexus SC 430 which I traded in for the above. Things wrong in 7 years? None!
Didn't learn my lesson. Bought a new E400.
