rear seat HVAC climate control?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, did a search but didn't find anything: what controls the temperature for the rear seat air vents? My 2017 E300 sedan only has the knob for open/close, no temp controls. Thank you!

in your case front temp is same as rear.
as an option one can have a separate temp control in the rear
(in which case there would be a temp control button there)

Thank you! Is it front driver temp? or combination of front passenger and driver?

Yeah, didn't see anything in there at all about it. Might email my SA. My wife drives to work in the morning with the dog in the back seat so we're trying to figure out how to set comfortable temp back there; for now we'll just set driver and passenger side the same.

.
Try setting one side cold and the other side hot and feel what comes out the back.

I tried that. Had both front sides cool, and the rear vents felt cool. Turned up the heat on the driver's side, rear stayed cool. Turned up the heat on the passenger side, and the rear stayed cool. Hmmm.

Very odd. Will try on our E300 when the snow stops and report back. Is it possible that, without the option for rear-seat climate control, the vents just blow air? that would be quite odd.

it takes a while for the rear vents to heat up.

Hello, what about if you have the thermatronic, 3 zones climate control... anyway to shut the rear AC completely? I couldn't find anyway to do that? any suggestions?
