Electric Window malfunction
I’m driving W213 E-class and the driver seat electric window is acting mad! Every time I try to close the window it will move all the way up to home position them automatically move back town till the middle.
i’m assuming this is related to the window programming, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me how to reset the window or to fix this issue.

In any event, it is simple to fix, instructions are in the manual. Just close the window and pull up on the window switch and hold it for 2 seconds, window will be reset.

Due to the midwest weather my windows froze frequently and threw the sensors out of whack. The window would go DOWN when I pressed the button UP. Same window would touch the top of frame(closed position) then return to midway.
Went to dealer- The fix is simply resetting the window sensor.
How to:
1.) Put the window down completely.
2.) Hold the button DOWN for 10 seconds.
3.) Hold the button UP and bring the window closed and hold for 10 seconds.
Repeat if this doesnt work the first time. I had to do it more then once before
Must be done on the driver side buttons only. Cannot be done on the non-driver window buttons
This will FIX the remote start issue of the windows/sunroof being "DOWN" or "OPEN"

i had the same issue with my 2017 e300 with P1, took it to the dealer 3 times they couldnt fix it, first time they said it needed to be alinged, that didnt work, 2nd time they said it needs a software upgrade, that didnt work, and 3rd time they had my car for 2 months while i drove a rental.... they called mb corporate, they put the car as a lemon, gave me all my money back (7 months of payments) gave me an extra 3 grand off a new mercedes and as 12% discount on a new mercedes. so i got the 2018 e300 with p2 for the 630 a month no money down.

Unfortunately, I'm out of warranty so going to the dealer and paying them a **** ton of money to reset the window doesn't sound appealing...

I have this problem right now and that did NOT work. Whenever I pull the window up after the 10+ second wait, the second it reaches the top, it comes back down again, no opportunity to hold the window in the up position.
Unfortunately, I'm out of warranty so going to the dealer and paying them a **** ton of money to reset the window doesn't sound appealing...

dis you hold down for 10 seconds first? Also try it on a different window

Everyone says to hold the window up but my problem is even if I hold the switch in the up position, the window still comes down halfway the second it gets to the top and completely ignore the fact that I'm holding the switch up.
