.
The Daimler 2017 annual report does not have a breakout of unit sales by model, only by class. It reported E Class unit sales for 2017 were 398 (000) up 31% from 2016. There are a few sites such as Statista that may have what you are looking for but they require a paid subscription.

Being a wagon owner I find it interesting to see the production numbers in the US for wagons. Seems to be a small uptick on wagons around town. Is there a station wagon revival going on? Hence why I'm looking for the numbers. I'm know they have the info why not share it? Maybe it's the simple fact in Europe the build so many wagons it is not high on the radar. Second thought MB knows the market in all countries.

Over the past few years I've seen wagon sales reported between 2400 and 4300

They are so rare that we had trouble finding one at a local dealership to even look at. Finally, our salesman found one in their loaner fleet (they must have gotten a good deal on that one) that we test drove. I would guess that it is at most 1% of US E-class sales.
