What aftermarket mods/accessories have you added?
Curious to see what other owners have done to customize their W213.

I tinted the windows, added the EcoStart off switch and added 5 level heated seats for the rear seats.

Went to a local custom upholstery place and they did it for me. Cost 325 bucks mostly due to the upgraded heated seats that provide five levels and which work better with the design of the Mercedes seats. The switches are right below the rear AC vents. |

No I added the heated seats. Only had heated seats in the front and because my mother occasionally rides with us so I had them added. If the dealer hadn’t given me such a great deal on the p3 without the dual screen in the lunar blue I was looking for I would have special ordered my car and definitely would have included three zones, heated seats and a couple other options. |
Had top of windshield tinted. Very useful and nice looking.

Been looking to add a Brabus front lip but can't find any good info on it, or more photos of cars with it installed.

Diamond grille
Hello, I have a 2019 E300 with the night package. I wanted to get the diamond grille. Is there a specific night package grille? I see yours has the black accents.

Chrome wheels. Had the dealer do it before delivery.
Chrome bars (covers) in front air vents. Sport Pedals (covers) Logo projection LEDs. Up in the air about this one. Love your Diamond Grille. If there are places that do any aftermarket heated seats they can do it. There's nothing particular about the Mercedes. I specifically wanted the switches to be mounted below the rear AC vents but the installer initially wanted to put the switches on the sides of the actual seats so I insisted and was able to get them to look more like what they should for someone who isn't a Mercedes aficianado. They are easy for my mother to access and I can easily turn them off if I find that they are running with no one sitting in the back. https://www.banningsonline.com/heated-seats/

The exhaust tips on my '18 E300 are simulated as described in the features brochure. They are simply inserts in the bumper and connect to nothing. That said, elsewhere there is a post that states the E43 bumper is required to attach those tips.

thanks in advance |
A place in Houston -- Texas Auto Trim. I also had them put leather and heated seats in my pickup. As I said, any place that does heated seats or leather installation can do it. There's nothing particular to the Mercedes that's relevant for these features. The aesthetics are more an issue of personal desire and you may need to stay on top of your installer for that concern.

where did you order your spoiler from? I just purchased 2019 E300 here in Vancouver, BC. But the E300's don't come with a spoiler

They used to automatically do that (shade band) on high end cars when you bought them. When did car manufacturers stop doing that? Not even an option!
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c7c9faad5b.jpg I also suspect that brow tinting can interfere with all the sensors/cameras being installed behind the interior RV mirror. I.e., coding electronics to work with some tint, and limited or no tint is too much of a hassle. |
Awesome work on the subwoofer mate. Could you share more on how you got it done? do you have burmester audio or Audio20? Also, If you have Audio20 why didnt you put an 8'' subwoofer at the driver footwell instead?

Very nice! Is that the Selenite Grey metallic paint? Looks more blue in the pic than online. Did you have the ceramic coating done, or do it yourself? What do you think of it compared to a good wax/polish job?

Hey guys, for anyone that "blacked out" the window trim, how much did that cost you? I bought a CPO E300 2017 but it didn't have the night package, although I really want the blacked out window trim. What's the best way to go about doing that? Thanks for any insight you have.
|
DIY and paint it yourself for a easy cheap upgrade. Plasti Dip is a peelable paint so if you do it, mess it up or just don't like the look afterwards, just peel it off. No harm done...
|
Most of the after purchase blacked out window trim I've seen was done by a shop that does vinyl wraps.

What's everyone's thoughts concerning the "country ovals" that used to be around so much, on a U.S. car? I realize they're obsolete in most countries due to upgraded plates that clearly specify country, but always kinda liked them. And as my family is from Switzerland, I liked the idea of the "CH" creating discussions. But then in the South, "HH" means Hilton Head on those, so....
Anyhow, these days do you consider them cool, old-fashioned or just plain junky? This would be on the back of an E450 Wagon. |
I’ve got the night package on my wagon, but still had some chrome I’ve blacked out (grill surround and trim line across the back). I’ve replaced the grill with an aftermarket AMG GT / pan-americana style grill, blacked out the radar / star, whited out the rear star, de-badged the hatch, tinted the windows and sunroof, added Xpel paint protection film to the most likely rock chip areas, and IGL Kenzo ceramic coated.

Nice looking wagon!

Does anyone know if you can you can add the canards to a '17 C300 coupe? By the way, that is one sick looking wagon!

Looking for Spoilers and Diffusers for my 2018 E300 Sedan
Can you guys post websites and companies that offer this? Thanks so much. Here's a pic of her by the way.

I purchased a bumper protector for my E450 wagon, nothing like this available from MB USA unfortunately. I found a company in Germany that makes this product but they would not ship outside of the EU but they pointed me to a distributer in the UK who were happy to ship to the USA. It is super high quality and looks great while also protecting my bumper top.

I looked at the MBHouse website and liked the digital dash conversion. I have a 2017 E3004W with Premium 2. It's set up as a sport model with the regular speedo and tach gauges. I'd love to replace that with the digital display. How possible is that, and how difficult is the install?

How much did they cost? What did you do with the front bumper flap spoiler -- what exactly is that? Is that underneath the car? Not sure I see that. Thanks! |

Chrome wheels. Had the dealer do it before delivery.
Chrome bars (covers) in front air vents. Sport Pedals (covers) Logo projection LEDs. Up in the air about this one. Love your Diamond Grille. That might be next. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...59852016db.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...dcf05624d9.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...dbcd183c08.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...2d5a524d00.jpg |

Very nice! The sport pedals -- are they just "covers" or do they fully replace the pedals that are there? Is this a big job? DIY? If not, how much did it cost?

Sport pedals are just covers you wear on top of stock... a very simple 1-min DIY... can be done with your eyes closed :) Cost like $30 or theeabouts... also from bay of fleas https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...2eb64acda3.jpg 3. The front bumper flaps are a simple 3M glued add-on. Completely changes the front look. You can find this similar in W213 E53 (2019/2020 MY)... here is a close-up of these flaps. Cost $125 for the pair. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...c3e0290bf1.jpg |

I was absolutely looking to do the puddle lights and the sport pedals -- but I really like the bumper flaps. My car is black, but I really like the look. Very nice! Thanks again! |
Not really “aftermarket” in the true sense, but I put on new wheels/tires from a previous year S-class, onto my E450. Looks perfect now.
The standard wheels/tires were 245/45/19 in a square setup, with 8” wide wheels. The new setup is a staggered 245/45/19 on 8.5” wheels in the front, and 275/40/19 on 9.5” wheels in the rear. Perfect fitment, perfect offset on the wheels, and now the car feels a lot more planted. Looks really good too. In fact, the 20” wheel option from Mercedes, on the E450 All-Terrain, has 245 in the front (8.5” wide wheels) and 275 in the rear (9.5” wide wheels), while in all of the 19” versions, they went to a skinnier rear tire (and skinnier wheel) setup….which has been fixed now ! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...458fa146e.jpeg |
