E250
W213 Drivetrain

Hi all

Does anyone know if MB use the same drivetrainin the W213 E200, E250, E300 and E400 ? specifically, the clutch componentry attached to the 9G-tronic ?

I ordered an E250 and am hoping the transmission will be the same as that in the E400 and therefore, over-engineered for the E250's 211HP, 350Nm torque.

Thanks

As far as I know the 9speed gtronic is the same for all vehicles. The only thing different is electronic mapping.

Yes, the 7G 722.9 transmission is luckily discontinued and has never entered the 213 lineup, it is replaced by the impressive 9G 725.0

E400 4MATIC
Is the 4MATIC on the E400 permanently connected to all wheels - or is this Torque Dependent..??

Thanks for the replies.

Permanently connected to all wheels, torque split of 45:55 I believe.
