I could "hang" with the pace car Stingray but my fellow "student" Z06 was a monster. The Pzeros were "good enough" but the screeching you hear betrays the fact that their adhesion limits are a little low for true racing application (Michelin pilot supersports next time). I never did hit the 130mph speed limiter. The brakes were SOLID!!! I think this should settle any more squabbles about the "AMGiness" of the 43 line particularly the E version. Definitely race worthy. I would have loved to film it on the go kart track session, the other students told me the car looked amazing drifting!!!!!
Thanks for this. Next on my "to do" list! Maybe I'll take the pilgrimage to Laguna Seca if I can...Mrs Rizzo would go shopping in Careml which would effectively triple the cost of the trip though...
Thankfully the yellow 'vette got out of your way, nothing more irritating than track time behind a not-as-good-as-you driver in a better than your car - that wont let you pass due to some kind of vehicle superiority complex. I have words with those guys at the end of the session...
Did you/do we get to go to the AMG driving Academy?

BTW the white vette is not slow, its the pace car. As students we take turns following him. The Z06 is stupid fast as is to be expected, the white is an entry level Sting Ray, not quite as fast but still a bit faster than an E43. Obviously I was the slowest in the bunch, but we were still fast enough to lap the slower "normal" car groups of bimmers, wrxs and such. There was an even faster bunch of vettes and a couple of RS's. We had no M's in our class that day. Definitely worth the money to spend practically all day driving your car at the limit.
