Restricted to configurator wheels?

My W212 E350 lease is coming up at the end of the year and mulling over a luxury line E300.

The only problem I have is that the luxury line (I'm in US) only comes with the most god awful wheel options, they look like they belong on a $10k econobox - I'd go so far to say as they almost look like hubcaps more than wheels.

If I go to a dealer can I custom order an E300 Luxury and actually get the 18-inch AMG 5-Spokes without having to pay for a whole set of 4? With the comfort suspension, what's the difference between having the 18-inch 5-spokes that come with the Luxury package or getting the AMG 5-Spokes - would there be any technical restrictions?

Any help appreciated!

Money, I notice a set of very good looking 19 inch wheels on a Luxury model at Hendrick in Charlotte . The window sticker shows an upcharge of about $900 (I think) as a normal factory option for the upgraded wheels. I didn't see these as an option on the MB configurator, I only saw them live at the dealer.

They were nice looking wheels and something you don't see every day - so it's worth a trip to the dealer to see if they have more info on the 19" wheel option on the Luxury.

if you scroll down in the configurator, you should be able to see some more wheel options. They are more costly though.please let me know if you can't locate them on that same page.

It should be possible. I am not sure if you have to order it or if they can swap the wheels from one on the lot, but I have seen inventory of luxury trim E300s with the sport trim wheels.

When I was getting ready to get my E300 I was looking at inventory and saw a few that had the 19 AMG wheels on the luxury trim (honestly it made the car look weird). Not sure how the 18 inch AMG wheels will look on it.

@jhpmbusa - Yes i do see those but they are a bit flashy for what I'm looking for. Specifically looking to avoid $1000+ upcharges for a wheel that is usually a $500 option

@makris0000 - I agree some of the wheels would look strange especially the 19"+ but I've seen them on the road with 18" 5-spokes and I think they look great.

Thats true, it is subjective.

Also it should not cost more than $650 because the AMG line exterior package that comes with the 18 inch AMG wheels is that price. Who knows the dealer might be willing to do it for less since you wouldn't be getting the rest of the things in that package (like the black headliner).
