I'm based in PA, USA, and drive a 2018 E400 wagon. Mercedes Me remote start works well for me. To get it to work reliably, I first lock the car (even if I locked it when I parked it), and then do a remote start. BUT it drives me crazy that (a) I have to go thru several steps with an app to get it to start, and (b) the engine turns off as soon as I open a door! On my last Acura MDX and my previous CTS V, I could do this direct from the key fob (up to 300 ft away), and the door opening did not stop the engine. I've discovered that there used to be aftermarket mods that would enable a remote start direct from the keyboard, but can't find anything for the 213 model. Does anyone know of any key fob mod for any current version of the E Class?

It is ridiculous that remote start via your key fob is not standard. In fact, I don't think it's even available from MB. This is a feature that's standard on a Civic, but not our E300.
