I was surprised to not find tunes for E300 2.0T platform when I leased the car back in January. It shares the similar/exact engine that is in the C-Class and A-Class Mercedes which both have multiple tune options. Recently I was contacted by a reputable tuner that has an ECU tune for the E-Class. I sent my ECU into them to be flashed. +40-50HP +65-75TQ

-Increased performance, boost targets, fuel adjustments, throttle. torque limits and removal of top speed limiter.

Its good to see a reputable tuner with a ECU flash file for the E class. I will report back once the ECU is returned back to me.

 

So I got my ECU back from OETuning. I installed it and have to say nice improvement over stock. The car pulls a lot harder, there is a noticeable difference in the way it drives, one thing that bothered me was the car was quick from a stop but passing or picking up speed at say 45mph you really had to push and wait for the turbo to kick in, the lag is reduced and picking up speed at freeway speeds is a lot smoother. For anyone considering it, I would highly recommend OE Tuning. They are a reputable company and the tune well worth the price. If you send them a message here on the forum there is a discount.

I'm interested in tuning my E300 but I have a question; If I was suppose to tune my car, would it affect my warranty or lease?

 

Yes but its reversible, and comes with a reflash for free. Just paid for my tune yesterday with their July sale going on!

 

 

No issue tuning a lease car. At the end of your lease just remove the tune and flash back to stock.
If you have an issue that you need covered under warranty, just send the ECU back to be flashed back to stock prior to having the work done.

Hey- Are there any other know ECU tunes available for the W213? I'm very interested in getting a tune but I don't like the idea of sending out my ECU. Any piggyback options available?

 

So a mom and pop shop with zero dollars of research claims they can make the engine faster then the millions of dollars of research the manufacture put into it??? If you want a faster better engine, get a bigger engine. This will void your warranty, they will check your ecu and read the engine temps.This guy doesn't have a good reputation either. just check there reviews. They have a guy in Australia that does the tunes apparently.
