collinite is a great product and looks good on a properly prepped surface.

IMO a pure sealant or even better a coating will give you the brilliant shine you are after.

checkout Cquartz 3.0 or similar

.
I wash my car with plain water and polish it afterwards with Meguiar's Ultra Quick Wax. The whole process takes about 30 minutes.

I'm new to do the car care . I'm the first time to wax myself. How to do a coating? I'm only wax , I didn't do another way . So what we need to do else?

Need to? No. Should you? Yes. If you protect a new car with a nice coat of wax, it will protect the perfect finish. You don't need a cleaner wax. Just a good coat of paste wax, like a Carnauba wax. Since you can afford a Mercedes Benz, and since you have never waxed a car before, why not just hire a good car detail person to wax your car. I have my detail guy coming to my house this coming Saturday to wax both our new E300 and new E400 cars. It's worth a $100 per car to let him do it, while I watch!

Yes , I can hire a guy to do it for me. but in my place it don't have a guy to my house to wax . Only I send the car to their shop to wax. I don't trust them , so I prefer to do it myself

If your brand new to detailing I would not try and tackle coatings,

Coatings are harder to apply than your normal wax or sealant

Are there spider webs or scratches in the paint?

Did you clay the paint?

All of those things will rob your paint of its luster

Then just get a good quality pure wax, like Maguirs, which is easy on, easy off. Just follow the directions and you'll do fine. There is certainly a satisfaction from waxing your car and seeing that sublime shine!

its still new. So I think it don’t have spider webs. I never clay the paint . Maybe “ not yet”. I only wash it and wax it with collinite 476s.

Not really destroy paint. But it will take a layer off the clear coat. Clay bar use is most commonly used to remove swirl marks in the paint and minor imperfections. I wasn't familiar with Collinite, but I went out and read about it and yes, it appears to be a very good wax product. Don't overthink this. Wash and dry your car. In a shady spot, apply the wax per the directions, to sections at a time. Let it dry to a nice haze and with a microfiber cloth remove the wax till it shines nicely. It's not difficult to wax a car.

Yes, I’m doing that way. One more thing, I see it’s a lot water mark on the windscreen , side window , side mirror and the chrome. It’s water mark everywhere. How can i wash it?

Watermarks are easily removed by washing the windows with sudsy water, rinsing them and drying them before the water has a change to dry. Easy-Peasy.

I try it many times, when I wash I still see a lot water mark on the screen and chrome. Even I rub it by my hand, it still exists. Do I need to use some special product to
remove?

Go to an auto parts store and they'll sell glass cleaners formulated to remove watermarks. You can make a solution yourself of a paste of baking soda and vinegar.

Thanks for correcting me. I checked and you are correct that clay bar will not remove swirls. I always thought it would.

I keep the car covered in a heated garage. I wash it about twice a year. Put about 1,000 to 2,000 miles a year on car. It is always shinny. Never take it out when it is raining or wet outside. It has a pampered life.

W213 Night Edition 220d. (ML250 SLK350AMG)
I always use shampoo and a chamois. I have never polished or waxed the car.

The only thing i have done is on a black ML i once had for 3 years, i took it to the local place and they hand polished it for me as a treat for the ML's first birthday.

Ive had 4 mercedes and i found i never needed to - always looks shiny to me. Colours I have had is : palladium silver, standard white, obsidian black and now iridium silver.

I have now been embarrassed by this thread and clean my car every other day! Went to Pep Boys and bought some polishing cloths for use after the detailer. Thanks to the directions in the Detailing forum.
