First Service
I just got my car back from its first A Service. It is 1 year + 2 weeks old.
Duration: 4 days
Cost: $286 less $125 service coupon
Software updates: Engine, Transmission, COMAND, Navigation
Door hinges were replaced
LED for ambient lighting center segment under A/C vents was ordered for future replacement
I also requested status/performance information on NFC, Engineering Mode, Mirror Link which required interaction with MB Germany & MB USA.
The bottom line is that they did a thorough job of software research that answered all my questions. The shop foreman said it challenged his knowledge.
Only a single issue remains: the trunk close & lock switch intermittently fails. They couldn't get it to fail.
Overall I'm happy with the service provided.
Edit: I had a 2018 GLE including fuel to drive as a loaner.

So did you get Engineering Mode and Mirror Link enabled? Many of us in US will be interested to know.

MB USA nixed engineering mode and Mirror Link. The required HU5S1.cbf file containing the menus is not available in the dealer's Xentry system. If it was, they would have enabled Mirror Link for me. There are knock off Xentry systems on the dark web, but I don't trust them as they can make the car permanently inoperable.
