We looked at a white 2019 CLS with black on black yesterday at our dealer yesterday. Wow! You're in a for a real treat Wednesday. Yes you are my friend!

Teksurv : The powertrain is very seamless and smooth. And the engine at idle, it is also extremely quiet. I have not heard the "ticking" noise inherent on my previous V-6 MB engines. Acceleration is also very smooth and linear. I think overall, MB has a winner on this I-6 engine. thank you for asking.

Have you used the Eco/Stop Start feature? It's, IMHO, hugely unacceptable in the E engines as the shudder on start up is not nice. Your new engine should be seamless in this scenario.

Yes, the feature was on all the time. Again, I did not notice any meaningful delay or upstart with the Eco feature. It must be the “hybrid” motor that may make this feature very smooth.

Mercedes said this hybrid system would make Eco Stop/Start seamless. You've validated it does indeed. I might actually use it if it wasn't noticeable. But it is noticeable on the E's so my habit of setting my Dynamic Select setting, immediately followed by turning Eco off, will continue.

great question. I think the engine is smoother and the ride as well. This car feels a bit heavier. What’s interesting though are the tires. They are Goodyear’s Eagle. The first time “ domestic” brand tires have been outfitted in a MB.
