Music doesn't mute when NAV announcements made, even in fade mode.

Make sure to uncheck it then check it again while the music is playing or maybe a map announcement going off and it sounds like that should do the trick. I was wondering why when I had that box checked it was doing absolutely nothing, it made no sense even to have that option since it did nothing. Software bug. Hopefully that solution will remain and not have to be reset every time you turn on and off the car after driving it each time.

Ok...where is the sound menu....is that the audio menu? I'll check tomorrow morning, but I think I have all automatic adjustments checked off.

Ok, other than ticking off the automatic volume in sound, this is the only adjustment I see for audio fade out. I've ticked it of and on with no success at all.
I've tried Haag suggestion of going into the dealer menu, but couldn't get in following his instructions. I may end up going to the dealer over this one.

I wouldn't expect MB reads this forum. If this was hosted by Mercedes, maybe. But even Apple Discussion forum, which is hosted by Apple is only read by what they call Forum Hosts. The engineers don't read the forum and are prohibited from participating in them or they'd lose their job.

I have read something about a radio-mute problem with navigation on a German car forum. I looked it up and I'm not sure that it would solve your problem (there can be some difference between European and US-cars), but maybe it's worth to explore.
The forum talks about a bug in the software that can be solved as follows:
- enter the dealer menu (pushing down the controller for 10 seconds in the main car-menu)
- select 1 - Volume Seperation
- select 1 - Navigation Guidance
- change settings to desired value (0= no mute, 24 = max.mute)
- press back key
- select "END" at the bottom
Be aware, I have not done this myself. I have just copied and translated it from the German forum. But maybe it works for you.

The radio is muted in my car. I'll check the settings and post.
