Thats one thing I wish my car had is the digital instrument cluster. I dunno how the dealer could order the car practically fully loaded and forget the digital instrument cluster. Rusty, be careful up to curbs especially if your car has the lowered AMG line, I learned the hard way today, parked at the county offices and pulled slightly over a parking curb and when I backed up it pulled on the front facia and now I have a ever so slight gap between the fender and the front fascia on the drivers side, hopefully be a easy fix. Darn it, from now on using the parking camera and not gonna go over those curbs, this was a low curb too so I thought I was safe. Very low front end.

So sorry about the front fascia. Yes, these puppies sit REAL low. I hope it's an easy fix, though with MB Cars, nothing is less than $500 these days........

that’s one of the reasons I added ABC. If I suspect I’m going to have an issue, I can just raise the car. I know it’s saved me at a few driveways where I’m sure I would have scraped the front if I had not raised it up

I know what you mean. What has saved me are not only the cameras, but the radar beeping. When I pull up to a parking curb, at say a restaurant, I go slowly; as soon as I hear one beep (while watching the front view camera which turns on automatically), I stop.

I wasn't so lucky on my previous car, The Cadillac ATS in that it didn't have that 360 degree camera system. Did a number on the low front facia a couple times. One of the main reasons of ordering the self parking function on the E450; that 360 degree camera system. It sure helps in parking in my garage too.

What people forget too, is that even if your car's front facia clears the curb, there is another inner spoiler that can get caught up on the curb. That black inner air dam.

I hope your repair doesn't set you back too much. That really stinks. That is one advantage of the ABS system.....however for myself, it's just being a matter of being cautious, as you say, when pulling up to curbs.

Too get two colors you have to have the multicolor checked off in the ambient light settings. Ya, that seinfeld clip was classic. I still think my favorite though was the Soup ****. You see that with business when they have a great product they can treat customers like crap and everyone still goes because they want the good food or whatever it is they are selling. That Larry David was a comical genius.

I wish I could just use the NFC chip in my phone. Well, wait. Then I'd have to leave my phone with the valet. Ix-Nay that idea.

Seems like most photos I see for the W213 feature purple, blue, or amber.

Anyone use any of the remaining 61 colors?
Im kinda liking this color combo lately.

Dear 2012 MERC AMG:

Your dash looks different from my 2019 E 450: I do not see the controls for the 4 AC vents: I am unable to get the four vents to light - yours are blue/violet.

Are the lights in the AC vents only for the 450 Cabriolet?

Thanks.

Sedans don't get lighting in the A/C vents. It would be really cool if they did, but we don't get them.

Yes, exactly, only the coupes and the cabriolets get those vents, it's a shame, I wish my wagon had them too. It's one more thing that makes my wagon different from my Cabriolet. One thing the wagon has though that the cab does not have is the steering wheel vibrates in the wagon when both turning on the Distronic or when going out of the lane with lane keeping assist on, the cabriolet does not do this. Strange also the wagon does not have that sync button tab on the HVAC controls like the cabriolet has in this picture, you need to go into the menu to sync the dual zones.

The sync button is on my 2019 E 450. I really like it. My wheel vibrates as did the wheel in my 2016 E350.

rbrylaw: In our 2019 CLS 450 the AC vents do get the various lighting you get on the rest of the car….I can use one color or the mix variety.

I knew the CLS get's it. The Sedan doesn't. I like it and wish we had the feature on our cars.

So is that Colormix option (I think that's what it's called) actually change colors? What's the option that changes colors called if not?

That would be the animation setting. I normally leave that unchecked. I’m not that crazy about things changing all around. I do like the multi setting so I can make the vents a different color than the rest.
