Good idea. I will be taking one as well as a very powerful regular torch and of course a towel to lie on while I check the underside.

Wait - so they don't notify the purchaser if the car has been damaged?!

I don't believe they do. Transit damage is fixed at the VPC and since the car has not been titled in the US, it does not appear in a CarFax report as having been in an accident at all.

.
My car was at the VPC for 6 weeks in the Summer of 2017. Just relax. It will arrive promptly, no matter how long it takes.

If I were you guys, I would inspect my car with a fine tooth comb. Those are exceptionally long periods...I suspect damage repairs. When I ordered my car, it left VPC in 4 days.

Mines an employee lease so I dont really care much but I've noticed more of my colleagues complaining about incredibly long wait times to get their cars over the past few months. I believe someone had to wait a month and a half for it to be cleared from VPC. I wonder if theres a reason for this incredibly long wait time off late...

I did finally get mine. 4/17 I believe.
No damage, but had to wait for the front bumper holes to be fixed.

What port did yours come in to?

It was at the Baltimore VPC. I dont know what port. But the dealer just called me today to say mine came in 2 days ago. So it wasn't that bad.
