has anyone had issues with sunglass compartment getting the sunglasses stuck inside?
 

Today I went to get my sunglasses out of sunglass compartment and the compartment door only opens about 1/4 in. The sunglasses seem to be stopping it from opening (I think). Stopped at the dealership as I was very near and the say they must take the upper console apart. I get that. But why is the design of this compartment such that an average pair of sunglasses gets stuck? Has anyone else had this issue? Btw I have 2018 E 300 4500 miles.

That compartment will only hold small size glasses, not the oversized glasses that are common in the US today. That compartment works for my prescription glasses though I rarely use it.

thanks for that info. My sunglasses are very average size Maui Jims, not large/oversize, not small, just average. Just seems like it should hold them w/ no issues. Btw, love Marios quote, Ive heard it before as Im a track racer (and its the truth)!

google this forum, someone posted same issue a month or so back

I remember that and fortunately, he came back and posted what solution he found to get his sunglasses freed from the holder.
