I use to use different kinds of colonges is my 2018 and 2015. Never had a issue. I thought the mercedes scents were about the best so I use to buy refills on Amazon for around 100 bucks and would last a half year. Thats the one thing I miss on my E450's is the air balance package, I bought them as in stock cars and neither of them had this option. Had I ordered the car I definitely would have included the air balance package. As for now the scent I have in my wagon is O da Coffee as I spilled a half cup on the floor mat last night, lol.

O da Coffee must smell great!!!

Our E400 has the Air Balance system. When I ordered the E450, I didn't want it, don't miss it and am glad I didn't get it. The bonus is I get more room in the glove box! I shower daily, honest. I don't need my car to shoot perfume in the air.

I like the fragrance system. I have it set to low and it has lasted more than a year. The center console is deep enough to offset the loss of glove compartment space IMO. From previous threads it's hard to tell what scent is the preferred replacement to the default Fireside Mood. I think many are using colognes or off-the-shelf air fresheners such as Airwick. I haven't tried either. Additionally, Maybach offers at least one fragrance (Agarwood Mood) that is different from the 4 originally offered for Mercedes. The cost is, of course, ridiculously high. What the heck, I'll just buy coffee at MacDonald's rather than Starbucks.
