These look great, but the only thing that I'm not keen about is the wasted space below them. Wish they took more advantage of that space. On my Acura, surprisingly the center box and glove box were all plastic, with no soft surfaces. I lined both with carpeting and made compartments for them. My glasses, for example, went in vertically, taking little space, but that wouldn't work as well with these. Still may go to one, but don't much like the idea of removing the whole thing to get at any items stored below, or just wasting that lower space.

One possible issue -- fitment. Their web site shows same part number fits both 2016 and 2017. Maybe in EU or elsewhere, but not in the US. In the US, 2016 is still W212, while 2017 is W213. Console is different. Looks like theirs fits W213 only.
Saw the listing for 2015, and thought maybe. . . but no.

I'm pretty sure they are for the w213 but i did a quick search only.
have a look around there and also on ebay and even amazon… but don't pay more than 10/12 usd for one!
you can easily take it out to get to your stuff underneath it

In both the ML and F150 the tray only covers a portion of the console opening, allowing you access to the area below without removing the tray in some cases.. Or, they are removable if you are retrieving a large item from below.
FYI...there are very similar trays on eBay.

Isn't this space meant for a key fob?

There's no storage slot for the key. There's an "emergency operation space" where you place the key if it has a dead battery. There's an RF communications port there that can validate a SmartKey passively. You have to remove the key from a keychain (or remove the physical key) for it to properly mate so it's not a very useful place to store the key normally.

Lost Key
Does everyone else know about the secret little shelf inside the central cubby box of their car (between the seats)?
If you put your hand into the box, and feel at the top/front, there's a little shelf there that you can keep small objects on. You can't see it, but it's there. I was delighted to discover it the other day, but now I can't decide what to keep there.
Is this obvious, or was I asleep at the moment they explained this at MB school?

Son lost key to his E300. Car still started mile from the house so knew the key was in the car. Searched 6 times every where in the car. Stripped out absolutely everything from car. I mean everything. Still no key. Where was it put I asked. In the center console he said. Really there is nothing in the center console!! Where did you put it... He started to question himself ... Gave up after over an hour. Will try again in the morning. After a single malt scotch went back out in the dark driveway in the 28 degree weather. Searched every where including the center console for 20 minutes. Was about to go back in for my second single malt but i thought to myself - he said the center console. I opened the console and absolutely empty... for some reason i stuck my hand and felt around. What is this! A hidden cubby? There was the key.

I purchased my E300 in July 2016 and never knew the "secret" shelf was there until just now. I just checked my wife's 2017 C300 and sure enough, there is one in the center console of her car as well.
I am not sure either of us will use it, but thanks for alerting me to the fact it is there.

MB E Series Wagons seem to have a few inscrutable features. There is a remote control button on the top of the right rear wheel arch in the cargo area, that I can't figure out. There is a pictograph that is completely incomprehensible to me. I know. Get out the manual.
On the subject of cubbies. I can't figure out the intentions behind the insert in the passenger door well. Two sections, one with a swirl into the other, both with bottom indentations. And then why is the insert in the Drivers door different. One compartment instead of two, no swirl design. There must be some thinking behind these designs but who's to know.
