Not really sure what it’s got to do with the Radio though! If it was Media Sources then I understand.
OP - you can put music, audio books, videos etc on a SD card and/or USB and select from Media to play.

The radio is simply telling you that to access this multi-media function (SD card media), you need to insert a memory card. Otherwise, use a different media source.

Thanks for replying I have only had the car 4 days now and a bit of a learning curve there is a Garmin satnav card already in and i have tried a blank card but still nothing the Garmin card was already inserted when i received the error message I thought maybe there was another card reader somewhere

A blank card will give you what's on it, which since it's blank is nothing. You need to put data, like music on the card, then insert it into the card reader. Once you do that, you can play what you stored on the card through your system. Read your owners manual on the Radio and the different types of sources you can play, including memory cards.

I tried a blank card to see if it was needed to activate radio and have also entered the garmin navigation card. I have pur music on blank card and entered it in the 1 and only slot in centre armrest it plays the music.But i still have No radio the radio keeps asking for card and when i press Radio it reads please wait the shows 5 blank underlined spaces as if its waiting for a sequence of numbers or letters. Thanks for replying

Yeah but his main thrust is to convince me to go to Mercedes Benz dealer and i know if i persist with The dealer i will lose the car for probable 2-3 days and I am inlove with it and cant be parted

OK. I don't know if we can solve why your radio doesn't work. It likely needs to be seen by your dealer and that's why we have new car warranties. When you took delivery, didn't the new delivery concierge walk you through all the systems in the car to ensure all systems worked and you had familiarity?
