Facelifted Model 2020
With the pending facelift for 2020. Is it still worth it to purchase a new 2019 w213 now?
or is it better to wait for the 2020? It should start selling Q3 of 2019?

2019 Mercedes E450
My 2019 E450 will be delivered early July.
I guess it’ll be one of the last of the 2019 pre-facelifteds.
The good part of that will be that most of the bugs and issues should have been squashed.
The bad part will be the absence of the new features, primarily MBUX.
Although I like touchscreens, the total implementation in the other car I seriously considered, the A6, was not for me.
That touchscreen required a lot of attention, as my finger kept sliding around a bit while selecting. More time on the screen, less on the road.
Actually, the touchscreen on my 2008 Lexus LS600hL was the best I’ve encountered.
Perhaps the MBUX implementation will be less intrusive than the Audi....

You be assured the 2020 E class will cost more than the 2019. I don't want a touchscreen in my car, so I'm very happy with my 2019 E450. Only you can decide if the differences we know about would be worth waiting for. For me, they would not.

I’ve had a similar train of thought, but went ahead and ordered a 2019. I should have it by the end of this month. I like new tech, but I’m wary of bugs that need to be fleshed out. I am very interested in that new mild hybrid tech in the e53, which I expect to trickle down after or with the facelift, but I really don’t want to be an early adopter of something so different. Having been bit by the v6 balance shaft issue in our SLK (a $5500 repair that took 2 weeks), I’m cautious about diving into a new power train.

My 2019 was recently delievered. Personally I needed a car and the facelift seem to be very minor so I went ahead and ordered. Navigation on audio 20 with widescreen works well and besides that I only lostem to music.
Also my dealer said that deliveries of fl w213 will be in the first quarte of next year?
The car might be unvailed in q3 but will go on sale later and deliveries will take longer time

I had touchscreens before and hated them. The novelty wears off quickly and the fingerprints will absolutely drive you batty! Plus, they really are a safety hazard! I almost crashed my last car with it a few times trying to adjust controls.
Plus, I'm not crazy about the look off the new facelift. The 2019 E450 CAB was the perfect choice for me.
