Audio 20 Stereo Harness or Line out?

Hi,

I would like to upgrade the 3 way speakers and integrate a sub into the car - but need some kind of line out or harness adapter from the headunit (I don't want to replace that) to an amp.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is there a product on the market that plugs straight in?

Cheers

John

Hey! Did you manage to find information on this?

Yes I've done some investigation. In theory, it appears that Audison make a plug and play cable which connects to the head unit of the e class and plugs into their range of Bit amps.

The 8.9 bit amplifier looks like it will do the job - 6 channels for speakers and a pair of channels bridged.

It also appears they have a technology called direct cockpit connection which powers the amp from the main harness but little skeptical based on my experience with amps.

The head unit is actually located behind the middle console of the dashboard and can be accessed by release screws. The cable plugs into that. There is a couple of videos on YouTube showing how to remove this.

Looking to tackle this in the summer.
