DYNAMIC select remap.

Is there any way to have the car start in S, S+ or I* as opposed to C (comfort)?

It is not a factory option and a complete use at your own risk process. But to answer your question Yes there are modules that can be used to reprogram your COMAND. It plugs into your OBD port. Some users on here were successful and many also had bad luck and horror stories of problems. You can search the topic on here and the various OBD modules can be found with a online search. Ebay Amazon whatever you prefer has what you need if you decide.

Depending on the year of your vehicle, the EcoEngineering start/stop module (which doesn't use the OBD port) creates the ability to have the engine restart in whatever mode it was in last.

Pedalbox

This looks interesting, does anyone have any experience with an installation, found some excellent feedback on the G63 forum. https://www.pedalbox.com/us/

No easy way. Mixed reviews with aftermarket tuners causing issues, even from reputable ones. For what it's worth I leave min in C until the oil and diff come up to temperature. I turn eco off and sport exhaust on at start up. Cold start sounds great on the E63s with flaps open! See link on discussion around issues with tuners (even piggyback): https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ntech-hht.html
