W213 Upgraded wheels

Hi guys.
I hope everyone is doing well.

I recenlty bought a second hand E300 W213 2017. the previous owner has upgraded the wheels from 18” wheels to 19” AMG turbine wheels and has upgraded the tires as well.

The tire sizes are
front: 245 / 40 / ZR 19 98Y extra load
rear: 275 / 35 / ZR 19 100Y extra load

I was wondering if these sizes are correct for a 19” upgrade. because the rear tires kinda stick out. to me if doesnt look normal. but the ride quality is really good and its very comfortable. which I was not expecting it from a 19” wheel.

It sounds like he has setup a 'staggered' tire setup where the rear tires are wider. I have a BMW X5 and I have a staggered set up on 20" wheels. My rears are 325 wide and my fronts are 275.

Sounds like the previous owner simply put a setup from a AMG W213. If your E300 is not a 4matic then are okay having the setup. It is a simple staggered fitment, now if you think it doesnt look right you have options of changing them out, however it does not affect anything negatively.
You can view and play with many different W213 configurations on your friendly tirerack website.

Ya, those 19 inch rims are the right setup to duplicate the AMG line look. I just looked at my AMG line Cabriolet E450 and those are the correct tire sizes so I'd think even if it's a 4 matic you should be ok as the tires should be similar diameter even though different widths and profiles. I'd say probably what you're seeing with the rear tires sticking out was wanted it that way so he put on rims with a low offset number to get that look to make the wheelbase wider in the rear, the only way your gonna correct that to make it look more stock is get rims with higher offset numbers. The easiest way out might just be to put mud flaps on the rear as wheels that stick out tend to get the car dirty faster with kicking up dirt beyond the fenders.

Correct tyre sizes for 19 inch, it should be staggered where it is wider in the back. No problems with 4matic as the diameter of the tyres are the same. I have an amg line w213 with the same 19 inch dimensions. Also the e43 is not a true amg that is why it has the same dimensions as the amg line.
