Help, damaged centre console wood
Hi, I hope someone here can help.
the centre console of my e class has a small natural crack in the wood. But the coating has started to delaminates from the wood around the crack.
Mercedes said it may not be covered by warranty.
please could someone on here be able to advise me on how to rectify it. or where to ask how to fix it. I can’t think how as it’s matt.

What do they mean may or may not be covered if, in fact, it was not caused by customer negligence it is covered by factory warranty?

If it was not done on purpose or by accident because of something you did then it should be covered of even if they meet you half way. They covered my wood in my W212.

Once it is scratch as shown, my suggestion would be to replace it. I would encourage you to file this issue as a manufacturer's defect. If the Service Advisor rejects your request, perhaps speaking to the Service Manager may yield a good outcome. Good luck.
