Muffler delete
Went to my fav muffler shop, Lou's in North Reading for those in the area, and he suggested the only way to improve the 'tone' so to speak was a muffler delete on my 2.0 turbo.
Has anyone done this, I'm concerned about drone and codes. Thanks!

No CEL will occur from just removing the mufflers. If you went CAT LESS or the DP’s that affects more electronically wise. A But the thing will sound like a monster. I havent heard a MB with that done but would definitely be sweet.

No 2.0 will sound “sweet”. It will just sound like a loud lawn mower. You need to get up to the e43/53 level with some X or H mods and those will then sound even more amazing.
Would also help to know what model or engine you have.

LOL. Yes OP. Get rid of your car. Please upgrade to a AMG to be able to have an amazing sounding car. Anything besides that is going to be compared to a very overpriced lawnmower.

Try playing cards rubbing on the spokes of the wheel
This sort of thing reminds me of when we were kids, we would attach playing cards to the front forks of our bicycles so the spokes of the wheel would produce a great "BRA-A-A-P!" sound as the wheel turned. Just like a motorcycle! Cool!

Might be able to attach some playing cards behind the calipers with cloth pins 🏍 lol. Don’t underestimate a screaming V6. When in sport plus mode mine sounds amazing at those high RPMs. I use to not like sounds of V6s not anymore with this e450 Benz. Maybe it’s the tighter cylinder head configuration or something but this car sounds real nice at full throttle in sport plus.

I have a E43, was new to this whole exhaust thing. I'm pretty pleased with the power of the car now, just wish it would have more crackles and pops, any lead to achieve those?
