2017 E400 Wagon Retractable Cargo Cover Question
Morning - I picked up my "new" 17 CPO wagon Thursday from MB dealer and did not notice until this morning when I was putting things in the trunk that it is missing a retractable cargo cover.
This does come with the car, yes?
Appears it must have been taken out when they were doing CPO stuff and maybe someone forgot to put it back in the car.
I will be calling salesperson but it's odd that I can't even find this when I google for this car.

Help! Dealer says they don’t have it and there isn’t one available in the US. This took 5 days to get back to me. Says they will be in touch Friday about options. They are able to get one from Germany yes? This makes me worried about what else they missed when they CPO’ed this wagon. Any suggestions how I should handle this as I pretty much lost it with the salesperson this afternoon who did not get back to me until today after me texting and emailing multiple times since Saturday. Felt like he was blowing me off and he should have known this in Monday and gotten back to me with a solution. Can’t they get one from another dealer that has this year model and interior color. I would never have bought this car if I had known this was missing. Thanks.

Stick to your guns. It’s a safety issue not having a cover or net. BTW the current version is nicely improved over the MY 12 version I had .

I plan to. I confirmed there are none in US and MB Germany has 2 only and over $1k and left part # with dealer today and will call MB USA Monday if they don’t get this ordered today. They do not seem very responsive. Got car from a dealership I have never done business with and am very disappointed at lack of customer service and no call from a manager. Thanks.

All’s well that ends well. Without going into the long frustrating saga and poor communication and customer service I was finally able to secure a new cargo cover that the dealership ordered. Also big thanks to Dan for his help with some information.
