Cleaning MB tex seats

I use any cleaner available from soap and water to Fantastic. I have the light color interior and so far very little if any wear and tear. Quite satisfied.

MB Tex is the best material that I have ever seen crafted for a vehicle. As far as cleaning, I typically use warm water and a dash of soap. Keeps the MB Tex looking clean. I believe that any specific product may actually take the authenticity away from it as well as the subtle look.

I use a microfiber towel damp with plain water. Works great. I will probably change to plain water and a terry towel, because on this site an owner's manual snippet was recently posted, saying MB recommends against microfiber on MB-Tex.

For tough stains like grease or that sort of thing I use Oxy clean laundry stain remover spray, works good. For everything else a damp rag with a little dawn on it. Ya, this material is really tough, holding up better than the other car that has leather.

I use (and have for along time) Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to clean the seats, in fact the entire interior, both leather, MB tex and vinyl trims, door panels, steering wheel, dash and console trims, etc. in all my cars, including my '88 560SL. No harm, no foul. Misleading name, Clorox wipes are bleach free and work great at removing stains such as that from denim, women's make-up, pen ink, etc.. (read the label yourself).
