Extended warranty and cracked leather

Hello,

I have a question. Will the salon consider such damage:

The problem.

qualifying for warranty repair?

The car is: W213, 2017, 70000 km mileage. Two months ago, the normal warranty was over and began to be extended for another two years (the so-called Comfort PKW package)

Ask the dealer, that looks like it will tear in the future so I would insist on something to be done

On my previous 2016 E350 with MB Tex, the driver's seat started to crack.

The car was 2 years old, 20,000 miles.

The entire MB Tex was replaced under warranty.

Usually that kind of damage is considered cosmetic and usually only covered under the factory warranty. That's why it's always a good idea to take the car in just before the factory warranty expires and have them check over everything and mention any problems you have. You would have to read the extended warranty contract. It only covers whatever is mentioned. Probably doesn't mention the seat covers which probably means it's not covered. Sometimes you can push for goodwill and maybe they'll cover it, but they don't have to.

I think they are only wrinkles with dirt. Use a good cleaner and it will be minimized. It's normal for leather to wrinkle over time. Your car is not old but it has a lot of seat time.

Thanks for the answers.

The dealer told me that this is due to misuse and they will not change it.

I had a 2014 E350 and had a similar issue with my driver's seat. The dealer replaced the seat cover with no issue. Although I have seen it where some dealers are little resistant when it comes to things as such.

You can clearly see where the leather that started to initially tear where the sewing was done at. I would send pics of the seat to the Corporation to heighten the level of awareness in order to receive a much more satisfied action.

^^^^^^^^^^ I agree with this. I think this is normal wear that just needs a cleaning.
