reducing the price
I have seen a mercedes e220d i like however it is kept in the service garage. I have bee told i need to put down a deposit down in order for it to come in to London.
It is a used car, valued at £21k. Any tips on how i can negotiate the price lower. Shall i ask for a lower price before giving the deposit or after?

I'm certainly no expert, and you're not in the US, but I don't think you should ask for a lower price before seeing it. It may be worth it. It may not be. Give the deposit (assuming you can get it back - doesn't cost you anything), do your research on the Net and elsewhere, find out what they're selling for. When seen, identify any deficiencies, lack of options, etc. that might lower the value, and any lower prices advertised for similar cars. Ask about service records; it may be due for an expensive service, or maybe they just had one done. Make a low offer, lower than you're willing to pay, but not insulting (unless condition is such that it deserves it) and expect a higher counter offer. Since they've gone to the trouble of moving the car for you, maybe they'll be willing to negotiate to your benefit. Good luck!
