What tires for E400 Coupé with airmatic suspension
I just recently bought a 2018 E400 CPO. Right now I am shopping to replace my runflats. I live in Atlantic Canada but don't drive the car during winter. Looking at the Continental Sport Contact 6, but would like suggestions. What are you running?
I am not at all concerned about driving with no spare. I am 65 yrs old, I never go anywhere without my phone. I have only broken down once in my life (BMW) and had to get towed, it was not for a flat tire. I have picked up nails and had leaks that I drove to the tire service centers to get repaired but never used a spare tire.
Ride comfort is very important to me. When I am shopping for a car I'm looking for: Interior; ride comfort; exterior design; wheels, in that order.

Maybe something like a michelin Pilot Super Sport. Not a run flat, but will ride better and your car will handle real well. Just dont drive in the snow with this tire, its a summer only tire. As your probably aware, the Run Flats don't ride very well. I'm not sure how if you traded the car in without run flats on it though would effect the trade in value. If the car was being Certified they may say you need run flats.

I replaced the gawdawful Michelin run flats that came with my 2018 E400C with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. I'm very pleases with the new tires as they provide excellent ride and handling. Like you, I'm not worried about not having a spare as there's no way at 73 years old that I'm going to try to change a tire. Instead I bought an electric tire pump and a can of goo that I keep in my trunk, and i upgraded my AAA membership to Premier (auto insurance also provides towing coverage), which is enough protection for me.

There you go. Those tires would work well. Ya I’ll probably do the Michelin pilot 4s tired next. Good idea judge. The car I’ll bet handles much better and much more smooth. I still wonder what would happen with a trade in with non flats though. I guess worse case you loose a grand.
