When a person buys a new Mercedes here in the USA and purchases the prepaid service (Mercedes Service, not Dealership chain private service....like Auto Nation for example): Does the technician who gets to perform this service get paid the same as if the customer was paying for this service at the time of service?

the technicians get pay the same hourly rate regardless who pick up the final tab, it's the dealer who get pay differently,
in this case, they get to collect a lot less when you use the prepaid maintenance

Actually, customer pay services are higher in labor than warranty. For example, when I was at the dealer we used to get 1.5hrs for an "A" service........ Warranty was only 1.0hrs. It also depends on the dealership what the difference is.
