Aux-In plug?
#5
My purpose in seeking this Aux In port is for Tidal HIFI MQA music.
My understanding is that order to get the hi-res music from the iPhone into the car, ya have to connect an Audioquest Dragonfly (DAC) to your iPhone, then the output from the Dragonfly is a 3.5 mm jack, which needs to be connected to a 3.5mm Aux In.
Sadly a USB cable won't work. Gotta be an old-school 3.5mm Aux In port.

Camaroguy72- I looed at that earlier today, was hoping that would work (it certainly looks good)- but when I called Audioquest tech support, he said that ZIMRIT connector is just a power supply connector, and won't transmit audio. When I read the Amazon reviews, they seemed to confirm that to be the case, sadly.
However, it's possible that since there is a Tidal App within Apple CarPlay, it may be possible to just connect the iPhone into the usual USB port and get hi-res sound without having to use an external DAC. I'll check Monday and report back. I have an email into Tidal tech support to see if they know if CarPlay will receive and play an MQA file in all its hi-res glory, or if the iPhone DAC or MB DAC/CarPlay dumbs it down...
