Spare Tire Housing W213
All
Disclaimer: I know we have a pretty long thread on Spare Tires for W213 but this is a little more specific / different so it may warrant a new thread.
Observation: I see there is a Spare tire Housing available (213-610-80-00). Looking at the black and white drawing on MB parts site it looks different from the standard installed unit on my 2017 W213 4matic (one which cannot house a spare tire)
Question: Has anyone tried using Spare tire Housing (213-610-80-00) with Compact Spare (213-400-06-00)? Does it fit? or am I misunderstanding the function of the housing part? ( i am a newbie so break it to me lightly
)
Reasoning: I ask because i need a spare (of course) and I see a lot of images on the other threads where people have just put the tire in their trunk space (exposed)

Fury - I think that part # is a structural part of the trunk floor, not an accessory to be added after the fact. Even though it says it fits a 2017 E300, I do not think it is something you can add to your vehicle - it is a collision repair part.
