2019 E450 Siri Freezing when activated by Steering Wheel

anyone have any issues calling up Siri?
50% of the time when I hold the steering wheel button I see the Siri circle pop up but she is not “listening” the circle just sits there then car play becomes unresponsive and crashes and I can try again and it will work. Sometimes it will fail again.
no issues playing music while this is happening so I’ve ruled out cable issues.
I had Mercedes check and it and the diagnoses was I’m not holding the steering wheel long enough and only summoning the Mercedes assistant :/ ugh when clearly I see the Siri circle on screen
I have a 2019 C63S, so should be the same COMAND version as yours. Haven't had any issues with CarPlay, but I don't use it all that much. However, these appear to be known issues in iOS 14. Here's an article I just found that makes it seem it has something to do with the new CarPlay wallpapers. I also remember coming across another article that was talking about freezes if you have a certain Accessibility feature turned on in the settings, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I did make sure I didn't have it turned on on my phone, but can't remember which setting it was. All in all, Apple has some more bugs to fix.
Oh, one more issue is having Waze installed. Waze has been a buggy mess recently causing CarPlay issues even if you are not using it. Just having it installed on the phone can cause audio and other issues. I've uninstalled it a while back, because I was never impressed with the quality and the app itself even before, but they seem to be incapable of making the CarPlay integration work properly and worse whatever they are doing causes issues beyond Waze itself.
I removed wayze, changed background to black and reset my all iPhone settings from General - Reset - Reset All Settings it still freezes. I updated to 14.3 same thing. It’s an occasion freeze.... really no on else ?

I found the link to the other known issue I mentioned above. Make sure you have Assistive Touch disabled. Otherwise it's causing all kinds of issues.
sometimes Siri works, other times the circle just sits there, doesn’t “pulse”, no ‘ding’ and “she is not listening” the best way I can put it. After 20-40 seconds it goes away
